Ferro Silicon Briquette

Ferrosilicon briquette is a spherical ferroalloy scientifically compressed or smelted from raw materials like ferrosilicon powder and ferrosilicon slag . Its main components are silicon and iron, and it typically appears silvery-gray or gray-black . It features uniform particle size, fast melting rate, and high deoxidation efficiency. Compared to standard ferrosilicon, it offers lower production costs and greater ease of use.

Using ferrosilicon powder (FeSi75/FeSi90, 80-200 mesh) as raw material, mix with a small amount of binder, press into 10-30mm diameter green balls via cold press (15-20MPa), then cure via low-temperature sintering at 800-1000℃, finally screen out broken balls, package after qualified composition testing, complying with GB/T 2272-2021.

1：Ferrosilicon-matched composition: Si 72%-95%, C≤1.0%, S≤0.05%, deoxidation efficiency same as ferrosilicon;

2：Spherical advantages: Good fluidity for automated feeding; large specific surface area for faster molten steel reaction;​

3：Low loss: No dust, transportation/storage loss 80% lower than ferrosilicon powder

Briquetting (Mainstream)​: Raw materials are mixed with a binder and then pressed into shape by a high-pressure briquetting machine. The briquettes are then dried and solidified.

Automated steelmaking: Deoxidation in converters/electric furnaces of large steel plants, suitable for mechanical feeding systems;​

Casting inoculation: Ductile iron production, uniform distribution of spherical particles to refine grains;​

Alloy auxiliary: Magnesium smelting, replacing part of ferrosilicon lumps to improve reducing agent utilization.
