Si-Al-Fe Alloy

Ferro Silicon Aluminum is a composite alloy composed of silicon, aluminum, and iron, serving as an efficient compound deoxidizer and alloying agent in steelmaking. It appears as silver-gray to blue-gray lumps or granules, with common grades such as FeAl40Si20 (Al≥40%, Si≥20%). Its deoxidation products are easy to float, effectively purifying molten steel.

FeSiAl is primarily produced through an electric furnace smelting process. Selected raw materials including quartz, bauxite, iron ore, and coke are mixed in specific ratios and undergo a reduction reaction in a high-temperature electric arc furnace. After smelting and refining, the alloy is cast and crushed into specified sizes.

​Efficient Compound Deoxidation: Synergistic deoxidation by silicon and aluminum, with higher efficiency than single deoxidizers.

​Improved Molten Steel Fluidity: Deoxidation products are low-melting-point composite oxides, easy to aggregate and float, purifying the steel.

​Cost Savings: Can replace part of aluminum blocks and ferrosilicon, reducing deoxidizer costs.

​High Yield: Stable recovery rates of aluminum and silicon, typically over 85%.

•​​Steelmaking:​​ Serves as a deoxidizer for final deoxidation of molten steel, replacing pure aluminum to improve aluminum yield and generate easy-floating inclusions, thus purifying the steel.

•​​Foundry Industry:​​ Acts as an inoculant in cast iron production to promote graphitization, improve mechanical properties, and enhance the toughness and strength of castings.

•​​Alloy Additive:​​ Used as a source of silicon and aluminum for producing special steel grades like silicon-aluminum steel.
