Overview & Characteristics
High-Carbon Ferromanganese is a basic category of manganese-based ferroalloys, with 4%-8% carbon and 65%-80% manganese. It is mainly used for manganese supplementation and deoxidation in steel smelting, suitable for large-scale carbon steel production.
Production Process
Using high-grade manganese ore (Mn≥45%), coke (reducing agent) and lime (slag former) as raw materials, mix in proportion into a submerged arc furnace. Under 1500-1700℃, carbothermal reduction of manganese ore produces alloy with 65%-80% Mn and 4%-8% C. After cooling, it is crushed into 5-100mm lumps, and packaged for delivery after composition testing (complying with GB/T 3795-2018).

Steelmaking Deoxidizer and Alloy Additive: It acts as an efficient deoxidizer and desulfurizer, removing oxygen and sulfur impurities from molten steel. Simultaneously, as an alloy agent, it enhances the strength, hardness, and wear resistance of steel.
Raw Material for Medium and Low Carbon Ferromanganese Production: It serves as an intermediate raw material for producing medium- and low-carbon ferromanganese through refining processes.
Special Steel Production: It is used in the manufacturing of special steels such as high-strength low-alloy steel and wear-resistant steel.

Q: Can composition and particle size be customized?
A: Mn content (65%-80%) and C content (3%-8%) can be customized; particle size supports 5-20mm, 20-50mm, and 50-100mm. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) is 50 tons, and the customization cycle is 2-3 days longer than that of standard products;
Q: Is sample and testing support provided?
A: Free samples of 500g-1kg are provided (freight borne by the buyer), and the sample test report is consistent with the bulk goods; buyers can entrust third-party institutions (such as SGS) to conduct on-site sampling and testing, and the testing fee is borne by us (when the order quantity ≥100 tons).
