Preparation Process Of Nitride Alloys

The preparation processes of iron nitride alloys mainly include the following methods:

Ammonia Reduction Method: This is one of the main methods for preparing iron nitride. The principle is to react ammonia with iron oxide at high temperature to generate iron nitride and water vapor. This method is mature and commonly used in industrial production.

Boron Nitride Reduction Method: This method uses boron nitride as a reducing agent, reacting it with iron oxide at high temperature to generate iron nitride and boron oxide. This is also a commonly used preparation method.

Ammonia-Nitrogen Co-reduction Method: This method uses ammonia and nitrogen to co-reduce iron oxide. At high temperature, ammonia and nitrogen react to generate hydrogen and iron nitride. This method is considered an effective method for preparing high-purity iron nitride.

Laboratory Simulation Preparation of Nano-Iron Nitride: In the laboratory, the preparation of nano-iron nitride usually involves two steps: first, preparing nano-iron hydroxide, and then reducing it to iron nitride with ammonia at high temperature. Specific steps include:

Preparation of Nano-Iron Hydroxide: Reacting ferric chloride solution with concentrated ammonia to generate ferric hydroxide precipitate.

Laboratory Simulation Preparation of Nano-Iron Nitride: High-temperature nitriding: At high temperatures, nano-ferric hydroxide reacts with ammonia to form nano-nitrided alloys.
